Planting Trees at Wat Opot Children’s Community

Staff training at the Boddhi Tree includes initiatives that contribute to the community around us and further afield. A recent project we undertook was to plant trees at a shelter for children located at a Buddhist temple 50km from Phnom Penh, in Takeo province.

The center cares for 60 children and any help is always welcome. We purchased and planted 100 trees around the entrance to the temple. The project informed our staff about developing the environment and the trees will benefit the children's center for years to come.

The Wat Opot Children’s Community was founded by Wayne Dale, Matthysse and Sann Vandin, co-founders of Partners in Compassion Cambodia, a group whose mission is to give love and protection to children .
