Supporting the Vagina Monologues Production in Cambodia

On April 3rd, 4th, and 5th of May 09 the Boddhi Tree supported The Vagina Monologues  theater Play which  is an international phenomenon that celebrates women's sexuality and strength with humor and grace, while raising funds for anti-violence groups.  It was first performed in Phnom Penh in October 2005.  This year,  the performance came back to raise money for a local NGO that works to end violence against women, called Women Peacekeepers.  Each year, funds are also donated to the V-Day Spotlight Campaign, designated by the V-Day organization to "spotlight" a particular group of women who are experiencing violence, with the goal of raising awareness and funds to put worldwide attention on this area.  The spotlight campaign for this year is for women of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and so 10% of our profits will go towards this campaign.

The Boddhi Tree also  supported the production in 2005.
